Academic Environment

The school year opens in June and runs to 252 working days, set out in the annual academic calendar published on this site.

Progress is measured through four formative assessments across the year — FA-1 to FA-4 — with revision periods before each term closes, so a student meets formal assessment regularly rather than only at the end.

Teaching is staffed at a teacher-to-section ratio of 1:24. A special educator and a counsellor are on the school’s rolls alongside the teaching staff.

The same calendar sets aside time for a science fest, inter-house and annual sports, an educational trip, and a student council elected by the school — the year is not only lessons and examinations.

Parents are welcome to visit the school and see the classrooms during the working day. Please telephone the office to arrange a time.
